Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (License #6378)
Blake embodies passion, kindness, warmth, and integrity in her therapeutic work with clients. She mindfully creates a space that is both curious and challenging to invite a person to do the hard work of healing, growth, and change. Working from a holistic perspective, therapy becomes a journey of coming home to both the tragedy and delight of being human. Outdated narratives and patterns are courageously exchanged for a way of living that is whole-hearted, intuitive, and grounded in connection.
Blake’s practice is founded in psychodynamic and existential theories. Her approach integrates the fullness of a person by incorporating the biological, emotional, spiritual, and physical parts of a person’s life. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a way for clients to experience trauma healing on a psychosomatic level.
Prior to moving to LA, Blake lived in Nashville, TN where she received her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Play Therapy from Lipscomb University. Upon graduation she worked in a private practice setting gaining tools and experience working with childhood sexual abuse, eating disorders, codependency, and spirituality concerns. She is now working towards licensure under the supervision and employment of Jennifer Walters, LMFT.
